Qualifications -
Requirements - Wedding Dj (Ceremony or Reception)
We
are Omaha's number one source for dj entertainment. We are looking to hire
omaha djs that meet the following criteria. So if you starting out as an
omaha dj, and you are looking for work, gainful dj employment and
great dj experiences, see our qualifications below.....

At least 2 years of
Wedding Dj Experience (minimum 24 gigs)
Dress Appropriately

Arrive Early (for setup and
equipment check) - at least one hour is preferred

Introduce yourself to Bride and
Groom (let them know that you are the dj and are ready for them)

Interact with guests (if
necessary, depending on how busy you are, try to make time to at least say
hello to family)

Follow client's wedding
itinerary (unless they tell you to deviate from it)

Make appropriate announcements
(Bride & Groom arrival, special dances,etc.)

Party motivate! (get the guests
involved and stay involved) Line dances, limbo, whatever they
want!

Take all music requests (play
only edited versions of explicit songs, no exceptions)*

Make sure to play a minimum of
at least two slow songs early and two slow songs late (to give the older
guests and younger guests an opportunity to slow dance)

Before winding down the event,
offer to keep the party going for an extended time for a small fee (this is
unless you feel or see the party winding down, you make the
call!)**

NO DJ AGENDAS!! (take
care of the client! take requests and do what they ask..., as long as
it's within reason)
REMEMBER EVERYONE'S WEDDING DAY
(CEREMONY OR RECEPTION) IS SPECIAL!
WE WANT EVERYONE A PART OF
THE EVENT TO THINK OF THE DJ AND THE FUN THEY HAD THAT DAY!
Pay starts at $75 a gig
(if Supafly Promotions provides equipment for service)***
Pay starts at $150 a
gig (if dj provides own equipment for service)***
*this is because children
and older adults attend these events and explicit songs are not appropriate for
wedding events
**if bride & groom and
other guests, request to have dj stay past scheduled time, a fee would apply
(this is important because they are paying for your extended time)
***Pay may increase based on
dj's experience and length service is needed. Pay for event is quoted to
dj prior to gig acceptance
Pay for every event may vary.
